I'm originally from the South. North Carolina. I moved to the Bay Area about 3 years ago and it's the biggest change I've experience in my life so far. It has had it's challenges but change never comes easy. It's been an exciting and enriching experience and if I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

I love to cook for myself, family and friends. I can cook anything from brownies to bbq. I am currently working on my PhD and would like to complete it within the next 5 yrs.

Some people see the PhD thing and get scared away. Don't get it twisted, I may be pre-doctoral, LOL but I know how to have fun Please. Life is too short to be so serious and stuffy all the time, I'll save that for when I present my disseration or for business hours. My family has always instilled in me that higher education is important for success, but not always necessary. It's just something that I'm passionate about. Ed-u-ma-cation.

Whenever the opportunity presents itself I am a total goofball. I love to laugh and I'm a kid at heart. Watch out, I like to play pranks. I'm a great listener and have been told that I give good advice. Once comfortable I am very affectionate. My friends tell me I give the best hugs :) I'm very genuine and unique. I always have a story to tell and also been told there is never a dull moment with me.

Among my favorite types of music include jazz, r&b including old school, and also classical music. I enjoy going out to movies, concerts and festivals when the weather is nice I'd like to try karaoke, but I'm trying to work up the nerve. :)
