I.) ABOUT ME - GENERAL DESCRIPTIVE ELEMENTS
Heya, my name is Corey. I live in Middletown with my best friend. I'll cut right to the details about me so I don't keep you reading if you aren't interested, okay? Let's see, I'm 5 ft. 10 in., weight 215, brown hair, blue eyes, have what I could consider a great, but sometimes off-color sense of humor. I'm quirky but intelligent, very well-spoken when I have to be, but at times would love to slang-it-up with friends as well as people I don't even know. I'm outgoing, have no problem walking in the front door and seeing you for the first time, strike up a conversation like I've known you for 20 years.
II.) MORE SPECIALIZED LIKES / DISLIKES
I'm not a very picky person regarding what to do. I tend to have the ability to entertain myself in the most dull of situations and I have a tendency to be able to find humor in just about everything if I look hard enough. Life is too short to be boring and serious all the time. That being said, I do have a serious side and am very capable of carrying on an intelligent, civilized, serious conversation almost on a whim. I love debating about things because it's like mind-exercise. It simply keeps me mentally-sharp!
Okay, here are a list of my likes or things I enjoy doing / participating in;
1.) I bowl - I used to be much better than I am now. Injury derailed my participation in the PBA (Professional Bowler's Association) just shy of two (2) years ago. Most of the time I enjoy it, but it has it's frustrating moments still to this day to me
2.) I shoot pool - I'm still pretty decent at this and have just recently picked a stick back up after about an 18 month hiatus from it. Took about 2 games to get the groove back. Need practice, but can still handle the fundamentals lol!
3.) I play X-Box (360) on occasion - Yes, it's part of keeping my inner 14 year old alive. I don't live on it, but I do enjoy jumping on X-Box LIVE from time-to-time in my more boring moments and participating. Don't like it? Too bad. I won't judge you for what you like to do, so extend me that same courtesy please.
4.) I love long conversations and heart-felt communication. The success key to a relationship is open communication, both of the good and not-so-good variety. I feel that with every conversation you have, if you aren't learning something, you're doing it wrong.
5.) I love a good walk on a warm, sunny day and a long drive on a drab, cold, rainy day, particularly that special someone!
6.) Learning / experiencing new things in life. Very important to all aspects in life

III personal DETAILS - RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND MYSELF ***IMPORTANT TO READ IF YOU ARE INTERESTED THUS FAR***
Well, here's where I border on the divulgence of personal information probably never before-seen on PlentyOfFish, but it's necessary to include as it includes pertinent information regarding who I am as a person. Let's start out by clarifying this. I AM NOT OUT FOR SEX! I'm not arrogant by any stretch of imagination, but let's not think for a second that I can't get that if that's all I wanted. There ARE bars I could patronize if I were to be out seeking that. I don't need a website for that and I feel sorry for the guys that feel the need to ruin it for those of us that are authentic in our search for meaningful associations. My apologies on behalf of the rest of the 'pigs' out here that will send you genetalia photos and descriptions of what they wish could be considered their 'manhood'. That's simply not my style.
Now, for the keys to who I am. I grew up an only child in an abusive family environment. My upbringing was highlighted by emotional abuse on a consistent basis which escalated to that of a physical nature on occasion. Please do not interpret this as meaning I am fragile. If I were fragile due to this, I would not be including it. I learned to fend for myself at a very early age and am to this day, a very emotionally-strong individual. Remnants of this abusive upbringing can be seen in me to this day, but it takes a conditioned and seasoned eye to discern it. If you don't care to know about it, you'll never see it. Only those who know me best can see the after-effects.
Due to the way I was brought up, I have a highly-advanced personality. I am devoted to never treating another human being the way I was treated growing up. I am gentle, peaceful, and look at the cup as 'half-full' most of the time. I never talk down to anybody, realize that everybody has a viewpoint that no matter if I don't agree with it, it should be respected, and believe that everywhere I go and everybody I meet in life has tools to offer which will help me improve who I am as a person, and that is something I place great value on.
Here's another piece of pertinent information. I do not drink. Here's the story behind that. I drank relatively heavily for 15 years. I always vowed to myself that if I ever were in the unfortunate situation where I would end up with a DUI, I would quit drinking altogether. On February 11 of this year, I was out with a friend for a belated birthday celebration and that night ended with a DUI, my first, and to this day, I haven't touched an alcoholic beverage. It was a test of my personal resolve which I passed with flying colors. If you drink and you and I go out sometime, I don't care one bit if you drink. I would never press my experiences on another person in an effort to dictate behavior. I'll go with you, bars and clubs don't tempt me in the slightest, so don't think I'm going to be boring without it and / or just not go. I'll even DD for you. I don't want you to endure what I had to deal with and I'll ensure we all make it home safely!
IV.) MUSIC INTEREST AND HOBBIES
I DJ on occasion, so needless to say, I like all types of music. I listen to pop / Top40, Country, Rock / Classic Rock, Harder Rock, some Rap, particularly the older variety where it had at least some semblence of taste, and so-on. I have quite the extensive collection of music as well, a good-sized collection of karaoke, and the hosting tools as well. I don't DJ / host karaoke as much as I would like to anymore, but hope to one day get a little more involved in doing that as it was something I enjoyed. I've worked in bars and clubs, loved the environment and people, and still have a very in-depth of the bar business.
V.) IMMEDIATE FAMILY
I have six (6) children. My oldest son Ryan is going to be 14 in December. Next oldest is Nick, who is 12. Nick has Ausberger Syndrome and has grown beyond that very well. Next on the list is my beautiful daughter Kyra. She's a classic daddy's girl! Kyra is 10 years old. Now comes my other beautiful daughter Elena. She is 7 years old and is a mommy's girl lol. These four listed here are from my ex-wife Melissa whom I was married to for 11 years. To this very day, she is one of my absolute best friends and a person I can count on to always be in my corner.
Now, to my final two children. Riley is my 4 year old son. He is special needs and I love him dearly just as I do all of my children. He's extreme ADHD and has an moderate case of Autism. He is simply an amazing young man who loves his Thomas toys and his cars. He has speech issues which makes him hard to understand at times, but the love demonstrated from my little guy is like nothing I've ever felt. Smart as can be, he is aware constantly of his surroundings and learns buckets of information by the minute! It's amazing! Last, but certainly not least is my little preemie, Devin. Devin was born just about a month premature. He's my little daddy's man and has attitude at times which demonstrates on an undeniable level that he is my son lol. He is a fantastic little man with a brilliant head on his shoulders. He's my little ladies' man. The funny thing is, he knows it! These two were born of another ex whom I remain on very good terms with and will continue to for the rest of my life.
VI.) GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS
My goals and aspirations are most likely the same as yours, particularly if you are still reading at this point. They are to find happiness and peace, a person who compliments me as a person and I compliment you in return, someone that I can learn from and grow with. These may sound relatively simple, but I assure you, when this formula comes to fruition, it will be a complex yet elegant yield. I will not say that appearance doesn't matter, because let's be realistic, if there's no physical attraction present, there's no foundation to build upon. It's not me being superficial, just realistic.
