Hey, my name is James, I'm on the early side of my 50s now and looking at life through very different eyes. I have been a widow for years now. I have a son 11. He has been such a joy. I've been in the military for over 27 years now. I love to sing and play music. I like people who are honest about themselves and do not try to be something they are not. It's always better to know who your dealing with. I try hard to just be myself with people. It's not always everyone's cup of tea, but I am what I was born to be, and I try to treat everyone with respect and goodness. It's been rough since the passing of my mum. I learned a great many things from her. One thing she taught me was how to read and deal with people and situations. I only wish I had taken more time to have longer conversations with her than I did. The older I become, the more and more her wisdom becomes more clear in my life, and the sacrifices that she made. I am new here and I look forward to meeting good friend and the love of my life here. Some are different, but that's ok. I believe that god makes us all different and special and we need to understand why that is and embrace it, instead of judging before we come to know the person we look at.
