I have a sense of humor and enjoy having fun. I like to stay involved and engaged. I can hang out with people of all ages and have a good time although I am interested in a relationship with someone close to my age.

I have multiple degrees and credentials. I taught for thirty years in local community and four-year colleges.

I am socially conscious and well left of center social causes are important to me. I am interested in creating and working to create more equal, peaceful and sustainable communities.

My parents were Italian immigrants from poor backgrounds. I grew up in a large family in the inner-city of Chicago close to the Loop where I was the youngest of my parents' seven children.

I am social and enjoy having parties and get-togethers at my home. I often spend time with friends. I care about people and do what I can to help out others in need. I am a fairly good cook and gardener. I read a lot and write some. You might call me a bookoholic. One of my goals is to become fluent in Spanish.

I would like to own a house again - I have been renting for the past five years. I plan on going back to work, at least part-time, although right now I'm enjoying my free time.

I like to garden and ride my bike. I don't own a car so the way I get around is mostly by biking but also walking and taking public transit. I am trying to make a small environmental footprint. I like to thing there is a bit of Saint Francis and mother Jones in me.

I am good with money and am a responsible person. I am mentioning this because this seems to be a concern of a lot of women. (Even though I am a somewhat roguish man, I am not a rogue male.) I don't have any addictions other than coffee. I drink a few cups every day.

I was married for 19 years, have two sons and liked having a family. Prior to this, I was in an eight-year live-in relationship from my late twenties to my mid/late thirties that didn't end up in marriage I can live alone, but I don't really enjoy it. I'd rather be in a long-term relationship.

I am caring and honest, won't cheat on you or deceive you. I am not interested in a superficial relationship.
