What I really want is to be able to love someone without being scared. And to let them love me without hauling out the bricks, and mortar and sandbags so they can't get in. And to fall for some brave men who knows that he doesn't have to be scared either. Just once in my life, I want to experience uncontrollable, white-hot love, the kind that sends you over the moon, over the cliff, that lets you bounce around in the stars with no fear, because you've got those wings on your back that makes you invincible. And what does fear have to do with love anyway? Love like that must be possible, otherwise where did the people who wrote all those fairy tales get their ideas? they couldnt have just fashioned from thin air those stories about sleeping princesses magically awakened by a kiss, and princes who scaled castle walls, drop-kicked monsters, and fought their ways across hostile kingdoms, all in the name of love. it must have existed somewhere at a point in woman's checkered history. So, please, just before I'm too old to enjoy it, or before I start saying those old-woman things like, "I don't think too much about sex anymore"- just once, I want to turn my back on all my little fear-demons, give them the finger, and gallop away from this site with some courageous men.
