Hi there, I am basically someone who likes a quiet home-based life. Travelling around can be OK sometimes but usually I prefer my own home things around me - and my own comfortable bed!

This doesn't mean its boring as I have many interests at home, including gardening, politics/current affairs, online activities and I have a large TV, film and music collection.

I am looking for someone who can understand and appreciate me, I think the person with the right type of character for me will get a lot of positive things from me (as well the usual things of love and closeness) because I have knowledge of many things and I am a creative sort of person.

I think I am a bit different from many people as I know myself very well. This has taken me most of my life to work out but it now means that I know what sort of person suits me best as well, so I know a few words can't fully describe this properly but here goes: basically kind open minded calm, thoughtful, sensitive, understanding, tolerant, easy going - and probably a more quiet and private type of person like I am. (I can also say the sort of person that doesn't suit me: fussy, demanding, inflexible, excitable, confrontational, argumentative, loud, sharp, insensitive, and very ambitious or likes travelling a lot)

I hope that gives something for starting, but ask me to explain more. I am now looking ahead to retirement with a reasonable pension and someone to share that time (but I don't mind if I am with someone who is still working and I don't mind someone who is much younger than me, IF they are the right person for me).

I am a private and sometimes cautious person so I hope you will understand if anything does develop I would want to take things very slowly and carefully.
