Originally from Britain, I'm currently in Malta exploring a change of scene and a new direction. I love travel to new locations, the great outdoors and am committed to progressing my ambitions in life. Being a visual person, I am most inspired when in environments offering strong light and colour, breath taking landscapes and magical sunsets.

I like being active and strongly believe in trying to keep fit. I do a lot of running, but I also love the opportunity to get into the water – swimming, windsurfing, surfing and diving. I also enjoy the occasional winter holiday, skiing or snowboarding. I would like to play some tennis, badminton and possibly try some other activities, such as volleyball, ice skating, marathon, triathlon and adventure racing – but open to any ideas!

At the same time, I'm keen to explore some other activities, old and new, including dancing, Ceroc and Salsa, learning Spanish, the guitar, singing and possibly amateur dramatics – if I have the time and courage!

I also enjoy meeting close friends as well as new people. A good night out, a country pub, cinema, listening to soulful music, the occasional concert and reading a self development or educational book are all additional interests. Of course a quiet night in with a DVD is also good, although I try to avoid watching too much TV!

In terms of my character, aside from being a visual, practical and creative person, I'm adventurous when it comes to new physical challenges. I'm mature but youthful, I'd say I'm a pretty deep thinker and love a good conversation, preferably over a good meal and glass of red wine. I've also got my lighter side as well and have a playful sense of humour. I'd like to think I'm open minded, warm hearted, patient and compassionate and I love kids, to date – friends' only! I'm also confident and independent, honest but tactful. I'm clean and fairly organised, but also like to be spontaneous. I'm thick skinned, but I'm also sensitive at heart. Oh and yes – being of Scottish ancestry, I am the proud owner of a kilt!

My Ideal Person. I'd love to meet an attractive intelligent, like-minded lady with a warm heart, to spend some time with.

So what am I looking for? I'm a believer in being open minded - some times the most successful matches can't easily be predicated and it's easy to get caught up trying to find your type. Ultimately, I think the only way to really find out if there's a connection is to meet up and see what happens!
