The following is a true story:
At the pandemic's peak, I had to visit my doctor, and of course, I had to wear a mask.
I had one on as I was heading into his office when an agitated man accosted me.
He proceeded to spout anti-vaccine information and told me that Covid-19 was fake.
I said very calmly to him.
“I would like to apologize to you, sir, as clearly, my mask is upsetting you. I have to wear a mask because I have a rare contagion that turns people into assholes. Perhaps you have already been in contact with the pathology and should be tested.”
He did not know what to say as I walked by him.
I realize, looking back that you could use that line anywhere!
