Walk to my own beat...

I've always had a beat in my soul that has driven me,

At times it seems louder, closer,

And yet these days I find myself searching for someone else's,

Why is it so hard to regain mine?,

I remember days when the Rain had as much purpose as the Sun that came after,

It's not that the rain falls differently now,

I just can't find It's purpose,

The Glass Half Empty,The more I try to fill it ,

the more I understand it's a lost cause,

To Stand in the Line of fire for someone else,

You must first do it for yourself,

Maybe I had learned your beat so well, That I forgot my own,

Forgot that without it , There is no "Me",

There is no "US"

I once heard... "I love you"

What is it about emotions...

the perfect setting and correct timing that paints a work of art,

one meant for only two pairs of eyes.....

The canvas seems to have no corners,

possibilities only surpassed by a now rebellious imagination,

It rebels against the norm,

what should be thought not felt....

at its core its stronger than reason itself,

one second of it can undo years of empty happiness,

Empty only now,

Is it better to to not know?

Easy to say yes and call it "Life"...

for when the Canvas has corners, it surpasses any imagination because its driven by the heart not the mind....

The dark colors drawn in are meant to make the rest shine....

Its easy to say "I love you"

it's harder to paint it....

paint takes time, patience

It's a perfect predicament for a poet...

to paint without words.....
