I live in Oklahoma at present. I used to live in Penwortham, England, UK. I have lived in California, Alabama, Minnesota, Texas. and of course England. I enjoy trying new places to eat, movies, and working.
I enjoy writing cinema reviews for online or print. I have always loved watching movies.
I am working toward my Masters in network and Communications Management. I hope to obtain my Graduate degree and continue on to my PhD. I know it is a "pipe-dream" after I work on my Masters - but you have to have a plan! Lol!
I returned home briefly in the early 90's and graduated with a bachelor of Arts in Communication from Cameron University. I often wonder what happened to all my friends from college.
I am close to begin running again. Getting over an ailment that has prevented me from running has been a personal challenge, but through determination I am almost ready. I really miss the days of cross country running and my weekly runs up Mt. Scott.
I am writing a children's book called, "The Girl, The Dragon, and The english Journey Home." I hope to finish it in the next year or so.
The weather in England during the summer was great! Everyone back in Oklahoma was suffering from the 100+ degree heat every day. I did not miss that in Oklahoma. I use to have to wear my jacket in the evening during my walks to the park or to the shops.
I use to be in law enforcement in Oklahoma but that line of work was just not for me. I spent the 90's as a photojournalist following the news across the States. Before my daughter was born I thought it was a really fun chasing tornadoes across the Midwestern area of the States. I have also been through several hurricanes while working for an NBC affiliate in Alabama and Florida.
I can't leave out my time in the Marines after High School. Waking up at 5 am to my Drill Instructor was a trip. Especially for an 18 year old man that weighed 125 lbs soaking wet. Aye-aye sir! Lol!
I donated my life's collection of work in Native American photography to the British Museum in London, UK.
What life has in store for me is something I do not understand yet. I have been the happiest in the world to everything in my life falling apart.
I enjoy science fiction, adventure, and comedy at the cinema. I also enjoy going to the theatre. When I am in the States I try to go to the cinema when it is showing opera or ballet from the United Kingdom or New York City.
Life is about trying new things and not being afraid of a personal challenge. People are different all over the world. I left friends back in England, maybe some day I will move back. I have learned people may be connected by a common language, but we are all just people. I had to get used to the way a people thinks and relates to the world. Wherever in the world my life takes me next I go with a drive to explore and understand. If everyone was the same where would the spice of life be? We are born, raised and brought up with different ways. When they come together they compliment each other and should never be feared or afraid of. That is why we are all human beings.
