Hi there. My name is Mitch and I'm originally from Cumbria up north. I've been in London for a couple of years now, since moving down as a primary teacher, but have only been in New Cross a short while. As I'm in my first proper year of teaching and live in my own flat, it's been tricky getting out there to meet people, although I do go out quite a bit to places like the New Cross, where I've played the guitar and sung!;) (in relation to this, I'm trying (with difficulty) to start a band of guitar, bass and drums). Basically I'm looking for people to hang around with or some sort of objective driven group or organisation to become part of. I am community minded and ultimately want to do more in the local community, but more than anything just want some people to hang around with and go for a drink with occasionally. I'm keen on getting a weekly kick around going too and apparently there are pitches off old Kent Road.
