Looking for a Mermaid.
Well, more of a Merwoman, as I'm not looking for a maid.
Ideal for me would be somewhere along the lines of a phoenix Merwoman,
who enjoys riding unicorns,
with a pastime of star hopping,
with her pet dragon, or five.
Too much?
I haven't given up hope.
I'm also not set on ideal.
If your phoenix fire has an icy touch at times,
your unicorn is missing a horn,
your pet dragon(s) is a little furry,
happens to bark, or purr,
and hasn't quite learned to fly yet,
I can still appreciate them.
A hydrophobic woman probably wouldn't enjoy most of the activities that I enjoy most.
A woman allergic to fun probably wouldn't enjoy my company much.
A woman that expects only smooth sailing with no turbulence would most likely shy away.
A woman that hasn't learned to laugh yet will most likely learn how to, quite quickly.
A woman that doesn't like to smile should probably avoid me at all costs.
A woman who is afraid of enjoying nature should definitely steer clear.
Out of the billions on this earth, I'm only looking for one.
I know she is out there,
she's just not likely to be sitting around reading personal ads.
That's okay,
I'll find you-
Playing in the freshwater,
while planning your return to the saltwater,
stopping at every island on the way,
to soak up the sun,
and anxiously awaiting the darkness,
that reveals every last star,
that guides you,
to your next adventure.
Bathing in moonlight,
zipping through the clouds,
driven by the power of hope,
carried on the wings of desire,
viewing despair as a slight remora.
I'll be searching,
for you.
