What has unfolded in our world over the last 4 years has me desiring to get out of the city, and get closer to nature; perhaps return to a simpler way of living that embraces sustainability, trade, and community involvement.
I see another "source" behind our gov't that seeks power & control, and cares nothing about the Earth or its inhabitants. I am grateful that the corruption is finally being recognized, so we can change it. I think we are in for some global turmoil in the years to come, yet take solace in the many beautiful aware people who bravely speak the truth (with its inherent costs). I believe that the truth does and will set us free - although it could be a bit messy before we get there!
If you sympathise with this, please read on! If not, NP, I am not for everyone. :)
What I want: a youthful, fit, intelligent; financially secure, fun-loving, deep, and passionate man. Someone who finds awe in nature, is strong and gentle, apologizes quickly, and laughs easily. I am all those things too - except for the 'man' part. ;)
About me: I am a spiritual person (non-religious), with feet grounded in Gaia, yet I understand the realm of the mystic, and have insight into the collective unconscious. I see everything as one with nature, and believe that our lives can, and do, make a difference. Miracles do not surprise me, for I've experienced them (now that would be a great conversation).
My majors were kinesiology & psychology. While mostly retired, my p/t work focuses on healing the mind-body complex, somatic-type healing. I also teach yoga, meditation, breathwork, and a variety of other wellness modalities.
I believe in peace, environmental sustainability, and deep connection in relationships. I love all beings; believe everything has consciousness, and is deserving of care. I'm vegetarian, but occasionally break from this.
My desire is to fall in love and have a great long-term relationship. I look young for my age, and due to a healthy lifestyle, I probably always will. I weigh about 130 lbs on a 5'4" frame, and am toned. Being active is a big part of my life but not compulsive. Occasionally, a lazy day with a great book by the seashore is restorative. ;)
My idea of a great date would be to spend a day in nature - maybe cycle, hike, and/or swim - then finish with a picnic. Later, perhaps, make a healthy dinner together, then lay out under the stars, and have a deepl talk.
I like music that soothes, has meaningful lyrics, or is fun & toe-tapping. I rarely ever watch TV, but do enjoy educational podcasts/videos/documentaries, and once in a while a good film, play, or concert. Music preferences are often restorative, although old tunes from the 70's are fun, as are the blues, and many other genres.
Rumi says, "The Beloved is Everyone," (I would add "everything" in there too). I find great beauty in nature (my idea of 'God'). I embrace unity, compassion, forgiveness, healing, and loving-kindness as a sacred way of living.
I am loyal, considerate, generous, affectionate, and sometimes silly. I follow my own soul, and I always will.
I am monogamous and may never step into the realm of polyamory
I've spent many years single while working on my own personal growth, and have become my own best friend, and a loving parent to myself. A daily, loving meditation practice since my mid-twenties has built something very beautiful within.
