Hi. I'm Jon. They say that human beings have two basic orientations, HAVING and BEING. The person with the HAVING orientation seeks to aquire things, property and to even possess people. The person with the BEING orientation focuses on the experience. They derive meaning from the exchanging, engaging and sharing with other people.
I'm the latter. I don't collect stuff, I'm not into gadgets or clothes. I'm not materialistic or possessive. I do not collect friends, but I rather value the memories and experiences I have with them. I believe that life is too short - and there's a wealth of experiences out there waiting to be cherished and experienced. I've been with different kinds of friends - from the nerds, conios, tambays, intellects, rebellious, and conservatives. From those who spend hundreds on a meal - to those who could make a great meal out of 10-20 pesos. I've been to tourist spots and wonderful tourist destinations - to the dirtiest slums and making good friends with frightening people in city jails. I've been and done things I've never imagined doing - and yet, there's a lot more things out there for me. However, it gets lonely sometimes because you have to let go of things to be ready for new things to come.
I hope I could meet someone with the same adventurous spirit as mine - not only to build another experience - but to share our stories and experiences. It's a growing experience for us when such experiences and stories are shared and relived. That's all. Thanks!
