My identity comes from my politics, my family and friends, and my connections to the land and area where I live. I value radical honesty. I enjoy gardening and cooking with the veggies and berries . I like to read to my grandkids and my own books. I listen to podcasts such as Living on Earth, Intercepted, Science Friday, Deconstructed, and the Moth while I'm working. I dance around the house to Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley on Pandora. I also like dancing in public venues. I write letters to the editor and attend vigils and rallies to stop the climate crisis and end abuses of people attempting to seek asylum. I pay the bills and taxes and do other dirty work for the progressive bookstore I co-founded in 1984. I supported Bernie before he was in Congress to the present, as well as other progressives seeking to join the Congress.
