I would like to meet someone with whom I could share activities, experiences, and life in general. At the end of the day, I am looking to build a family. As far as a relationship is concerned, I think that through doing things together you build communication and get to really know one another. Getting to know one another is such an important foundation to friendship and a relationship. I am looking for someone who could be not only my partner but my best friend as well.
I like anything outdoors, theater, sports, cultural activities, traveling, and basically anything that would be considered as fun. I am an avid museum goer and can literally spend hours in different types of museums. I enjoy reading anything from fiction (like Harry Potter) to news and politics...even boring science books (I am an engineer so yeah I do find these books enjoyable to read); especially reading about other cultures and countries. Languages are fun for me; I enjoy studying when I can. I speak Spanish fluently and can hold a conversation in Portuguese. Currently I am studying Mandarin, but that is going very slowly. I work out regularly, so someone who likes or be willing to try a run, hike, or exercise in general would be a plus. Surfing, snowboarding, diving, and skiing – huge plus – again, don't have to know how to do it, but willing to go and try. I basically need someone with an open mind to trying new things and experiences. As I am open to almost anything, I look for the same openness to at least try something once. So I guess in a nutshell, I have a sporty nerdy and adventurous side all wrapped into one. I don't think my partner has to be the same, but one must at least be able to understand this side of me and be willing for example to take a random (but planned) trip to say Costa Rica for surfing/ diving.
I love children and am very comfortable around them, so if you have children, this would not be a problem. Instead it is welcomed. However, if you put dating, partying, and fun before your kids, I see this as a huge negative. I am not judging, just would like you to be aware of how I think of things before you respond.
