I am posting this ad for my Dad. He is not Internet savy and probably could not even give a very good definition of a what computer is. My Dad is lonely and is seeking companionship. He is a shy and quiet guy who doesn't know that his daughter has posted this ad. I know that he has answered a couple of ads in the newspaper, and he wouldn't object to me helping him out. I'd just like to surprise him by helping to setup a surprise meeting with someone compatible.

A little more about my Dad…He is a hard worker (he's probably never called in sick a day in his life) and he loves to be outdoors. He loves camping, so much so that he goes camping in his 5th wheel on his own. He also loves his yard. You probably don't know another man with such a large groomed yard with so many flowers. He also loves shopping. I don't know that he buys much, but he loves to window shop. Besides taking pride in his home and yard, he takes pride in his health and tries to eat well (for a bachelor and walk regularly.

He still works during the summer months. He needs to keep busy. He also enjoys being silly. His smile and laughter are always genuine and sincere. So you're probably saying, his daughter obviously has great things to say about him, but really, what is up with this lonely guy. My Dad has always worked hard to provide for his family and make them happy, so much so that he never really developed any other interests or friendships along the way, and now that my mom isn't around and his two daughters are grown up, he's all alone and has no idea how to navigate out in the world that exists outside of his family life.

He's an old fashioned guy that still gets his news from the newspaper and the TV and needs someone to look after, who in turn will look after him. He needs someone to show him what is going on out there in the world (the Internet, movies playing at the theatre…).
