After much thought about what I wanted to do in 2023, I decided that I’d like to meet a gentleman who would be most compatible with me. Ideally, that gentleman is in a quiet part of Ireland or the UK, both places where I know I could live happily. Even though I do prefer a slower pace of life, I adore Dublin and London. I would also consider a gentleman from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or a Blue American state. If you live in a Red state, please be Blue yourself.

I’ve lived across the US and in Iceland. However, I’ve never met that one man who fills my heart and soul with joy at the very sight of him. Although I am a romantic, I’m also a realist. We’re all getting older, and I’m not looking for that fantasy of a perfect man. Yes, I’d like to meet Simon Baker and have him desperately fall in love with me, but that’s NOT going to happen! LOL! The same goes for the gentlemen out there in the real world. Your fantasy lady is just that—a fantasy. You can check off all the boxes for your ideal mate s age, looks, height, and weight, but if you look beyond statistics, you might find someone very surprising. There are many wonderful women out there in the world looking for you.

I’m a lady with many interests, and I’m passionate about politics (liberal), animals (mostly vegetarian), the environment, movies, music, art, literature, computers, and, well, the list goes on. I enjoy travelling and would like to do more once I retire. That could be this year or ten years from now. I enjoy working, and I still plan to write a best seller. My first four books were well received, so who knows. One day I may be on the New York Times Bestseller List. As long as we’re above ground, there’s hope.

As for my qualities, I’m loving, kind, generous, loyal, intelligent, hardworking, a good housekeeper, and not terribly materialistic. I’m solvent and not a gold digger. That’s much too hard a way to make a living. I was raised Roman Catholic, but at this point in my life, I personally lean more toward agnosticism. I do respect one’s own religion, however.

I prefer cats to dogs, suburb or country living to the city, a good beer over wine (although I don’t drink much) and a few good friends as opposed to many acquaintances.

My negatives are: I’m opinionated, can have a temper on occasion (That’s the Irish in me), and I don’t suffer fools (American Republicans especially) gladly. I’m overweight working on that, but healthy overall.

I’ve posted an older photo (about ten years old) taken on a very hot day, but I’ll get a new one up soon.

Another thing, and this is important. I will not date a hunter, especially a fox hunter!

UPDATE: I've been on this site since January 1st and have been bombarded with emails and IMs from men asking to send me photos of their junk, to masturbate as we chat, and other vile requests! What the hell is wrong with these guys? Both women and men are on this site to make friends and find a mate. If this is all that can be offered, don't bother contacting me. I'm sure there must be a site for men of such proclivities. Please go there! Thank you!
