I am trusting, discerning and before I can love you, I must genuinely like you. Not based on how you look, what you have, have done, or are like in this moment, but how you handle, being you... (Oh my... what a novel concept!)
The life we are building now is for both of us, that's it, as individuals and (if so agreed upon) as a couple. To decipher, weed through and blend the inventory of experiences takes time. I understand how and why many men are drawn to the adventure of discovery, but I am someone who will take the stable chemistry of familiarity, over gratuitous excitement, anyday.
The things we can do to get there...
Though I may feel younger than my age, I must respect that recovery takes longer, and now gravitate towards non-competitive active activities such as walking, biking, kayaking, Tai chi, and gardening to mention just a few. When time permits I plan to take up ping pong and or pickle ball, but more for rallying, to maintain hand eye coordination, than sport.
My greatest joy comes from social dancing, in styles from Ballroom latin Country and really miss the creativity of WCS. (where I currently live has none of these at this time, so I am considering relocating).
I enjoy the challenges of small diy projects. Someone who leans that way will have a knowledgeable assistant, (or can perhaps be one, lol)
I have lived in cities pretty much my whole life (except for a whole 6 months on an acreage in my mid 20's, lol), am open to fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities and could possibly embrace the country life.
Honestly, I could probably live anywhere as long as it wasn't a highrise and has easy access to nature.
For myself, life is the adventure, so feel no need to go out of my way to find one. Simply unplugging and looking around at nature has brought me more laughs than I will ever be able to count and am always eager to see next one.
Again, I am open to trying new or rediscovering other things, with a competant partner at my side.
My cat recently reminded me of what unconditional trust feels like, when rather than curling up I'm lap as usual, she peacefully laid her chin on my arm in total surrender. In that moment I remembered the vulnerability of such an act, and the amazing connection of simply laying ones head on a shoulder.
My delivery is sometimes clumsy, but my intentions are authentic and I look forward to sharing thoughts and ideas if you are also so inclined... Until then, take care 😊
