Being a black American in today’s world means living inside a story that’s still being rewritten every single day. And I’m not here to flip the same old pages. I’m here to bend corners, switch lanes, and build a new route that nobody saw coming. My mission isn’t to just “make it” the regular way—clock in, clock out, keep my head down, and pray the world notices. No. My objective is bigger than that. I’m aiming to succeed by doing what feels real, what feels powerful, and what feels like me.
For too long, society has tried to paint one picture of what progress looks like. Stay quiet. Stay safe Stay predictable. But I learned early that predictable doesn’t always get you where your spirit is trying to go. Some of us are made to move differently. Some of us carry dreams that don’t fit inside the “traditional path.” And instead of shrinking myself to match someone else’s expectations, I’m choosing to explode outward—loud, bright, and undeniable.
My growth doesn’t look like straight lines or perfect timing. It looks like trying new strategies, trusting my intuition, learning from my struggles, and building something that feels real to my soul. I’m not afraid to step into spaces where people don’t expect me, nor am I afraid to create the spaces myself. Progress, to me, means building possibilities where others saw boundaries. It means taking risks. It means being bold enough to bet on my own gifts—even when the world is slow to catch up.
